An EYE for a PET

We've got ourselves a new PET or a new PS3 game which is actually for the kids. It's called EyePet. Hub actually saw a preview of the game online and thought it would be fun for the kids. The EyePet box-set (RM200) consists of the CD itself and a PlayStation Eye (camera) to converse back and forth.

Warming of the egg... keep it warm so it'll hatch

Oooo.. look the little baby is coming out!

And.. say HELLO to 'Pluto'.. and yes it's a monkey that hatches from an egg and meows when it's needing attention.. awkward but that's cute!

Even I got into action... it's so fun! You can caress, feed, bathe, play, etc with the virtual pet.

So... do get one and play.. it's fun.. even the old folks are fond of it. Yup.. they'll say what on earth has technology created? Haha! But they still are interested of what technology does nowadays.

Mario Kart

Jake got the 2 boys each a remote control MARIOKART. MARIOKART originates from a Wii game which the kids' adores. You won't see one here as he got it while he was in Dubai. Javier got the Mario character whereas Joe had the Yoshi one. After opening the super hard packaging and giving them some battery power, the racing started.

Joe is obviously laughing for some reason and even when there's no reason at all!

The video below shows Joe and his never ending peculiarity.

Judith playing the giant.. trying not to stampede on the karts.

Below is a video of my JAYs' looking for the missing karts..

After some giggling and some crashing, they ended their kart racing and proceed upstairs to play MARIOKART on the Wii.

Indiana Jones > LEGO Style

Recently, my boys are falling head over heels over the DS game, Indiana Jones > LEGO.
Well they weren't actually falling head over heels over the game.. it was more like falling head over each other, fighting to play the game. They've got to take turns as only one of the DSs' are working now. One's suffering from comatose, the other belongs to Judith which are filled with mostly girly games. Eventually, Jake got them the PS3 version instead which requires 1-2 players.
Get this, Indiana Jones; The Original Adventures is "PG@Mild Violence".
Haha Jake and I don't agree cuz' after all the graphics are totally LEGO-brick style which is quite cute actually. When a character dies, there's no blood nor organs tearing apart, just the occasional drop and break LEGO pieces laying around. Not even 3 seconds it auto-reconnects its body parts then TADA~ reborn!

The only violent thingy about it is that you can hit each other's character over and over again. So it breaks and reconnect, breaks and reconnects, etc.

The game requires lots of teamwork, where one will be the monkey and the other will be the somewhat hero but then again it could be the other way round. Monkey/hero; it doesn't matter as the fun is there and this game really tests the patience of my kids plus teaching them to rely on each other. It's like if you don't help... you, me, we won't go anywhere. Most probably we'll just stay there waiting for one to give in.

For example, there was one scenario where Javier's character had to push the block from one end to the other.. then Joe's character had to go through some obstacles and jump onto that block. His character failed to reach the block, failed the second and third time too. Javier was already stressing out, sighing away. So Jake decided he would aid the patience, therefore helped Joe but Jake only made it to the block after a third try. We were all laughing seeing the LEGO characters falling and breaking and the look of 'geram-ness' Jake had going through it.

See? Games are fun. Of course too much isn't good and too little won't bring out the 'YOU' in you. Playing games alone are never fun. However playing with a friend, your family and a bunch of people is way more exciting than being a solo gamer. No wonder I don't play games.. Guess BLOGGING is the new game for loners like me! Blek~

So overall, Jake and I rate Indiana Jones, the game "Game Friendly Kidiness 9/10 "

MGS4

What is MGS4, one might ask..
It's Metal Gear Solid 4...
Don't think I don't know bout' games!
I used to be a geek too... HIGH-5, if you are one too!

Well, I'm not a gaming freak.. just happen to see and watch and get into
'the what's in' at the moment.
It's nothing bad and it can't be that bad..
I try to get involve in whatever hubby is interested in..
After all, 'two heads really think better than one'..
And it's much more fun to share the moment together...

Metal Gear has a special place in my heart because it introduced me the word STEALTH~
-silly to hear but true to me...

MG4.. WOW~
What a wait, huh? It's been like almost a decade since the first Metal Gear Solid was released..

The Chronology

  • Metal Gear Solid : Twin Snakes > 1998
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty > 2001
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater > 2004
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots > 2008
*there are other versions too.. but the above are the big big ones.. wahaha~

The first MGS was published in 1987 by Konami in Japan.. I was only 2 years old back then..

Solid Snake quite lengchai ah.. His physique is based on Jean Claude Van Damme > woohoo~
After I found out that his facial expression is based on Christopher Walken, I was like yameh?
Anyway, I googled and found out yea quite similar, based on the younger days of him thou..

THEN.....
J.C.V.D + Christopher W. = Solid Snake

NOW... J.C.V.D + Christopher W. = Solid Snake

The brainiac behind all the MGSs' is HIDEO KOJIMA.
Salute~
Hideo Kojima will be 45 this year and he doesn't look the bit for his age..
He looks like 30+ to me.. I guess playing games makes you look 10 years younger huh...

I'm very eager to know if there's a movie based on Metal Gear Solid.
It would definitely be good... but hopefully it's 'live action' not 'CGI'..
Here are some results I got from searching..
  • rumors that it is currently filming, yet it's been announced
  • Christian Bale@Batman will be running to play Solid Snake
  • it is due to release in 2009
  • movie will be based on video game
  • will be directed by Kurt Wimmer who also directed 'Ultraviolet' and 'Equilibrium'
Sobs~

Although it's a nice and exciting game, MGS4 needs...
