Hub's 27th Birthday

Hubby turned 27 last Friday. We didn't have a big party nor a family dinner due to his family's busy schedule. First, dinner on Saturday was on the agenda but then, one was tied up so, Sunday Lunch came to mind but again it got canceled because he or she had plans at the last minute. I guess everyone has their own modes of plan nowadays but a postpone date might come up later. We'll never know till the last minute :p.

Well, never mind bout that. Today, mom cooked some stuff up to celebrate Hub's birthday at home. It was simple and nice which equals to a hearty meal.

Roast Lamb... so juicy so yummy!

Spaghetti Sauce minus the spaghetti... Joe's favorite

Mushroom, onions, potatoes and carrots garnished with dill

Bake/Roast pumpkin, Hub's favorite!!!

Garlic bread... Judith's and Javier's favorite

Mango Avocado Prawn Salad

We've got a real big Sparkling Juice too courtesy of Sis!

To which Hub's great strength proved to be too much for the glass bottle! It popped and the top came off with some parts of the bottle. Haha.. luckily it was save to drink. Don't worry, sis used a sieve to double make sure there's no other particles except liquid in the drink.

Strawberry Cheesecake courtesy of Sis friend, Miss Adeline.

Here we are singing the Birthday Song for Hub with Javier gyrating left to right.

May the Good Lord Bless Jake!

What are you wishing for, Hubby? Wish that your wife to be more SANE? Lol!

Mom is rationing!

Joe couldn't wait for the cake anymore.. he's helping himself to a slice

This strawberry cheesecake was quite delicious actually. It finished off our dinner nicely.

What a nice Birthday Dinner we had for Hubby today . He was very happy that my family, especially my MOM took the initiative to have a tiny celebration for him. He was thankful but lastly, he couldn't have ask for any better than this. Love you Hubs. Happy 27th Birthday. And THANKS MOM!

It's Coming To Town!

Look who's coming to town! Nope.. it isn't Santa. Though, he will be arriving soon.. Hehe.. Well, it's SUBWAY. Hub's favourite joint... mine too and the kids too. Yippie! Subway will be opening soon in Leisure Mall. Don't know when but do check it out for me, for you or for fun. TQ! It'll be jammed between the popular Old Town Kopitiam and the unhealthy, full of glucose Big Apple Donuts.

OMG~ OMG~

Thank God it was still early.. not many shoppers around... would I win RM50 if I submit this photo in The Star? Hmm.....

Gym-Tastic

Hubby got some new gadgets for his gym at work. Something big and something small but something definitely from abroad.

Presenting the wonderful and dependable TRX® Suspension Training® ...

and they are out of the box!

my message for hubby...

.. and here's what the other can do... seriously hubby can pull down the Takasima machine.. even I could tilt it.. so, I don't recommend anyone to buy this brand unless you are strengh-less.

You can attach to a machine of your choice, a pole, the ceiling or.. connect the TRX® Suspension Training® with the TRX Door Anchor then TADA you can have your gym anywhere.

And now... drum roll pur-leese... P90X Chin-Up Bar from Beachbody

this is freaking good.. just latch it onto the door frame and TADA!

and here's hub doing chin-ups while I did heads-up - HAHA

*the chair is there for a reason.. as I am too short to reach the bar, I had an assistant :p

my poor palms giving birth to baby blisters...

so.. therefore this ENDS the Gym-Tastic post.. exercise is really good.. some do it to release stress.. some do it to get lean and fit while I chose to do particularly for my migraines. I have very bad migraines few times a month and with exercise, the devil only visits me once in a month which is a +. My migraines are terrible... even pills on the shelves also can't make the pain go away. I would feel so sick as if my head's going to explode and it's hard to get along with daily life. I'll vomit and suffer a little bit then I'm all OKAY. Weird right? But it's what I go through every migraine day. I think the less migraines I have, the more life I'm living.

Words From The Red Chair

YOU went to Dubai last Saturday,
Missing YOU so much from night till day,
Kids ask me where's Daddy? I'd say,
Flew to work coming back on Saturday.

Getting by the mornings were easy,
As chores are done kept me busy
Noons get by fast as you're often at work
Nights are the hardest like some-thing's on the lurk

Hard to communicate hard to reach
Stuck on YOU; keen as a leech
Kids behaved what YOU preached
Once or twice situation breached

Joe would sometimes call YOUr name
Judith would remind him of the same
Javier would say, 'where's my blue game?'
At the end of the day, the wild I will tame

Wondering how YOU're doing there
Is it full of surprises or they just give YOU the stare
How does the food experience fare
I ponder also while I'm sitting on our red chair

Everything is fine so don't worry
I can handle them YOU know they are corny
Notty they are but their antics makes me ooey
Reminds me of YOU never leaving me empty

Take care my dear; I'll see YOU very soon
Drink plenty of liquid; doing YOUrself a boon
Happy to hear from YOU; I'm over the moon
Sweet dreams my dear; just let me croon...

Hubby Went Super Bald

Hubby went for a hair trim today at the barber. The barber he normally patronize didn't obey his previous request so, he tried the kids' barber instead. He wanted a clean shave this time, the kind of BALD to the extend of a shining head.

As I told Hubby, first cut is always the deepest....

Judith enjoying the trimming process.... while Javier wonders will he be next in line...

Getting there..getting there...

Almost my dear.. no pain no gain...

TADA! Look how happy Hubby is. That little growth on his head really weighed him off!

Hubbie's 26th Birthday!!!

Hubby just turned 26; which means I'm turning 24 soon. We didn't eat out because it was a weekday and as yall' know we don't do weekdays. So, mom cooked up a storm (that's the phrase she put it earlier) and I made a cake for Hubby! It's a recipe from his favorite chef, "Gordon Ramsay". I made him a 'Mandarin Cheese Cake' which I remembered that Hubby highlighted that cake a lot so why not I surprised him beforehand, right?

What we had on the table was...

Chicken Pie

Tortillas baked in cheese

Definitely need something green which was French Beans with Fresh Mushrooms

Guess what's in the oven....TADA! Spare Ribs which was yummy

And... of course the 'Mandarin Cheese Cake' that I made

After Hubby had his dinner, I quickly went behind to get the cake out. Mom helped me to put on the candles which I got from Tesco. The kids already beaming when is the cake going to come out. Javier obviously showed signs of cake moments in front of Jake but I denied it but I guess Jake already knew a cake is hiding somewhere but what he didn't know was that I made the cake myself and he only knew it when he noticed that it was that particular, 'Mandarin Cheese Cake'...

Surprise! Surprise!

Hubby is doing spot check or maybe counting the oranges on the cake!

Make a wish time! Joe is waiting for the cake to be served.

-Huff & Puff-

As usual Javier with his hankies' which only mean one thing - SUSU Time

Judith looking tired as it's bedtime soon!

-happy 26th birthday hubby-
