It's My 8th Wedding Anniversary!!!

For Hubby,

It's our 8th Wedding Anniversary today,
So fast it's been 8 when some people think no way,
We've been stuck and unstuck like clay,
But we've been holding on, we are indeed OKAY.

Over the years there's been laughter and tears,
Without them, our moments won't be so clear
Without love, nothing will compare to what's dear
Tolerance and honesty is important as it is to lend an ear.

Understanding is quite a long and big word,
Using it and placing it into our lives saves hurt.
Listening is always the hardest part,
No matter what, do what's best from the heart.

I don't need celebrating at a biggie diner,
It's alright I'm up for a cuppa,
Even if it's mamak, the choice is yet bolder,
Wherever it is, you're there my hubba hubba.

Through this 8 years we've been through,
Ups and downs, argues isn't an issue,
There's more to learn more life to pursue
I need you, you need me to lean-to.

There's so much to say so much to express,
When we say we have 3 kids, no one would have guessed,
Families and friends with support we are blessed,
Love is the greatest, one thing we possess.

With 3 little devilish kids at hand
What comes later is never planned
Our kids have never play the what's on demand
Thou, they stay close just like a wristband

Hubby you've been a friend and always near
So, on this special day my dear
I wanna tell you, you're being loved
By me, your wife, you I deserve.

Look What I Got For Hubby!

Hello Markisa, my hubby really loves you. I was wondering what's so good about this Markisa that hubby goes coo over it. I've never tried Markisa before actually until I stole a sip off hub's can and I found out that it was, "Bai-Xiang-Guo" all the while.

OMGeez... it's Passion Fruit. I felt really silly after that. Now I know why hub cooed whenever there's Markisa. I would coo over it if I knew earlier it was my long lost friend, Passion Fruit. I used to drink Passion Fruit when I was little. All through my toddler @ growing up years. Mom used to order them from the delivery man. I remember that he'll send a few bottles every fortnight way back when we were Malaccans'. But fear not, BOH has bring back Passion Fruit Markisa

P/S : Hubby, I'm reserving a can for my Dad & Mom! But you still get 2 cans....

Great Things Come What May

I guess it’s time to talk about me. I’ve been talking about other things these days. Not that I’m not included in those things :p

Sigh, I’ve not been in cheery moods for the past week. My mind has been wandering elsewhere. What is it I’m pondering these days?

Well, just recently I won a contest worth of RM1000 of cosmetics. My favourite kind of makeup color is brown hues; earthy, nude colors. And most of the time, I get bright color eye shadows and chap sticks which I don’t usually use. I’m a natural color freak. I tried many times using extreme makeup on my face but somehow I end up with the same neutral tone. I need makeup lessons most probably.

So, I won. I quickly called Hub and leaped for joy while talking to him on the phone. I think I was jumping a little and out of breathy saying, “I won something!” Hub is happy and I’m sure he does although I don’t know the look on his face. He knows I win stuff once awhile and me calling him means….he has to send me to collect the stuff. THANKS HUBBY! I shared some with my mom and sis. When I told them I have news for them, they have that worried look. Maybe mom thought I was pregnant? Haha. Nah can’t be that lucky right?

I told them I won something. Sis grabbed the bag of goodies. Saw what was written there. ‘Women’s Weekly Promo Prize RM1000’. She screamed or maybe she yelped not like a dog but maybe a cute pup. Mom was WHOA or was it WAH-WAH. Both were grinning. Oh it was great. I wished I have my camera to snap them but never mind. Dad was asking is it a book? DAD! So him. Mom got the palette and the tinted lip balm. Sis ‘sapu’ the lip gloss with lippy-i-duno-what. That’s not the name of it thou’. I just can’t remember. I saved some for my own too. Bobbi Brown is my favourite. So, you guys out there. Get me Bobbi Brown gifts ya?

My sis asked me why am I so lucky always winning contests. But let me put it properly… not always; once in a blue moon only. I told her, ‘I guess I’m lucky then!’ Haha. Just be optimistic. If it’s not today then it’s tomorrow and if it’s not tomorrow, then there are other days to look forward to.

This is me without the green papers of course. But hopefully.. in a few years time those green papers will surround me.

WOW_100C

I think my family is great. We don’t backstab each other but occasionally we do scratch ones shoulder. We don’t say unnecessary things. We don’t take people for granted. We don’t use our positions at home. We don’t make one’s life harder to get things done our way and of course there’s always the part where my sis gets me to find her stuff which went missing somewhere around the house. And at the end of the day, it was right there in plain sight.

Sorry I can’t share with everyone my gifts but I did shared some in the previous win. This time, I’m thinking about me, myself and I. But yet, I shared again with loved ones. I don’t simply give stuff to people who doesn’t appreciates it or they might not need it (because they have it already) or it might not be suitable for them or better; one can afford it. It breaks my heart when I present my win and it gets wrapped up somehow. How ironic.

Learning to give, learning to share is so great. I think it’s the greatest thing one can do but make sure you plenty then you share. Share what you can; what you may. It’s the one thing that makes me happy to see others happy. I feel the love around when I give. It doesn’t make me a hero but it makes me whole just because I see smiles in return. Just like what I did yesterday at Uptown collecting my prize. You may call me ‘stupid woman’ but whatever. I actually gave away a lippie to the lady security guard who was so friendly and also very preggars. She was soooo happy. Bet it made her day likewise. I told Hubby about it and Hubby wasn’t surprise of what I did. He knows that’s me, that’s his wifey :)

perfect!

Sorry I haven't been active in my blog lately. Since Jake got back from Dubai, I have been busy. Busy with what? I also wanna find out myself. Right after Jake touched-down, we headed off to somewhere quiet just the both of us. We've got to re-charge out LOVE meter. Haha I'm only kidding. It'll give us some time together and also to rest. In fact, Jake rested about 2-3 hours while I hanged around the hotel with Eirene, my best gal. She's kind enough to upgrade us into another room which was perfect! (Thanks GAL)

Jake bought me this dress from Dubai... it's actually a nightie but both of us were thinking that if I wore it to a formal event, no one would actually know.. LOL! It is so beautiful that I paraded and danced around in it - perfect!

~sweet back~

perfect! Don't you think so? I'm going to a textile shop, get some cloth, visit a tailor and make sure he/she copies this exact style. I'm going to wear it for our "10th Wedding Anniversary" even if we're only celebrating at home... :p

Be Us on Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day... Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! Hubby and ME don't really celebrate VDAY on VDAY, well not necessarily because we think VDAYS aren't important anymore. It's more like a gimmick nowadays where certain parties using this special day to fetch extra money. Any day could be VDAY. It would be more significant to choose a date and celebrate with your special one than dining in a fully booked diner with the crowds chatting away and watching tables of lovers canoodling each other. It's weird to look to the left and see a couple; then to your right another couple; so as front and back! It'll be more like a food convention for couples; gone are the romantic moments~

Today and every other year on this very same date, we bring the kids out for dinner. We love celebrating VDAY with the kids. We had dinner at RESTAURANT GAFAN, a famous claypot rice shop along Connaught Highway.

Lotus Root Soup with chicken leg, peanuts and dried cuttlefish
(Judith's favourite)

Toufu

Chicken Claypot Rice with Salted Fish

Fish Claypot Rice

Vegetable in Oil

Jake mixing it all up while Judith ponder what's baldness like...

Javier crazy about the toufu, that we had to order a second plate for him

Yesterday, Hub surprised ME by telling ME we were going for dinner at SAN FRANCISCO STEAKHOUSE at MidValley to celebrate my birthday. We often patronize there because of its service and quality of food. There were couples celebrating VDAY yesterday because today was fully booked. Thank goodness we went there early and left before tens of two by two's came in.

We both ordered 'Black Angus Regular Cut' which was wickedly tender and juicy. Hub had his in medium rare and mine medium. Bloodied which I adore!

See? I do eat veges!

We didn't take much photos. Hub took photos from his hp camera. I left my camera at home while Hub forgot to bring his. Anyway, we didn't want any excess baggage either as we too, wanna enjoy each other's company without fussing with buttons and flashes.

How I met.... MY HUBBY!!!

Wow.. this is going to be interesting. Back during school days.. say 7 years ago, I was actually dating another guy..
Sorry I don't want to release any names.. not to embarass anyone.. not that I feel embarrassed about, if not I wouldn't be blabbing here.. I wanna explain here cause of the embarassment he had caused me since back then.
Oh I don't hold grudges against YOU.. just that you had your time; and mine is now.
Alright I won't go into details.. unless someone asked me too.. I promised..

Okay let"s start.. I met my hubby through my ex-bf . We are cyber-kakis. Used to be anyway.
One day, after I visited ex-my bf during his lunch hour when he was working at LM, I went to the cab stand to wait for a cab to go home.. then I spotted hubby driving by.. and guess what? He spotted me too..wink~
It was like 'love at first sight'; thou' some people say it ain't real. Well it proves here. My heart went BOOM-BOOM-BOOM..
Okay hubby overshot..didn't make it to stop. Then a cab came by and I hailed it.. but I didn't know hubby had made a turn.
I was already in the cab when I saw him in his car behind me. We just waved goodbye.. that's all for that day. Next I don't know how he found my ICQ UIN and added me.. (sorry last time ICQ was HOT~)
We chat till the wee hours..online and phone.. never wanting to say goodbye.. then he asked me out on a shopping trip.. what kinda guy
ask a girl out for a shopping trip on the first date right? Oh was it a date? Haha...
Btw, it was fun!!! Thou' he bought the clothes not me.. We wasn't all over each other on the first date> MIND YOU!

So, since ex-bf is a jerk, then I dumped him.. Why keep him when I was a banker in the relationship, rite? Anyway he's too dirty minded to live with... and he's not bf material.. urrghh...
Well, dumped the perv.. then I moved on. Who doesn't right; when a knight in shining armor comes to the rescue!!

Furthermore hubby is sweet.. sweetest guy I've ever met.. most guys in my school are immature back then..but now I don't know.
So hubby and I started the relationship smoothly.. erm you know where it gets out of hand?
Two love birds caged together by themselves? Electricity forms you know?
Then poof.. making babies are hot on the topic...

Haha.. anyway. This ends the story of "How I Met My Hubby".
