Elaine's THIR-TY-EARTH Birthday

A week ago was my sister's birthday. There was a mini dinner celebration at home among family members but I failed to attend because hubby, the kids and I went on a mission. Never mind bout that. The mission blog post will come up soon.

So.. early morning at 7.15, something arrived!!!!!

A bouquet of flowers for Miss Elaine... from 'Latuk K' from somewhere that you need a plane to get to.

And you guys and gals, don't panic... don't be nervous... this was Birthday Girl's reaction when the bouquet flew onto her bed.

...awww.. got teary eyes or not?
So... what does the card she's holding says? SECRET!

She's checking the quantity of lily.. haha

See? She's happy with the flowers

So is Judith!

Even Javier wants a picture with the flowers..

What we got for her?

A tank top from Promod. The most expensive tank top I've ever bought in my 24 years of life.
She loves it because it has butterflies flying around a lady which probably is her!

And.. I made her a butterfly bookmark in just 3 days.

P/S: In case you don't know, she's a butterfly FANATIC!

Imported Goodies 4 All

Sis got back from Perth already! She touched down at 6 in the morning and miraculously appeared at her office desk at around 9am. She didn't even unpacked her luggage and zoomed to work. She must be in need of some cash after the miles of spending.

She went to the '2009 Smoke Free Perth Royal Show' and brought back some goodies for the kids courtesy of Kevin. She bought some stuff for the old folks, the young folks and the not so young folks plus some tidbits for her fellow colleagues.

Lets see what's for who and who has what!!!

Judith requested for a 'HighSchool Musical' show bag and she got it!!! Inside lies HSM notebooks, HSM photo album, HSM arm band and a HSM mini basketball.

Joe is happy with his 'Optimus Prime' show bag...

And Javier is head over Crocs with his 'Bumblebee' show bag!

Both of the boys' show bags each have a Transformers Book, a reversible beanie, notepads, stationery and a watch cum mini projector.

There were definitely sweets and chocolates for the kids courtesy of Aunty Angeline...

Mom and Dad both share a bag of Morish variety nuts... wahaha we told Dad that he looked like he came from the 'aboriginal' village to collect relief aids which he also agreed with laughing stocks!

Ed didn't get much this time as he normally feeds on our goodies.. here he's seen with a packet of limited edition RIBENA pack...

While Hub got a show bag full of dark chocolates from "Whittaker's"... see the other stuff there? It's ALL MINE!!! :p I've got a Roxy shawl, a black tote, a mini purse which I'm using now as my work lunchbag, a pair of white jeans which I can't fit and also "Benefit's Smokin' Eyes"... woo-hoo

My grams (grandpa+grandma) both got a triangle-shape shark-fin which is REAL and also a tin of abalone which they'll bring back to KT to savour.

Mom had extra goodies too just like ME.. here are a few baking needs that is hard to find here..

And on that very same day, I also found out that my sister not only have 2 LeSportsac bags with butterfly prints but actually 5 of which in different sizes... goodness gracious!!!

Top left: cosmetic bag
Top middle: medicine bag
Top right: iPod bag
Bottom left: sanitary bag
Bottom right: carry bag

Saddest thing is that, I don't even have one LeSportsac... arrghh!!!

A Day Out With Sis

Sis and I had a sister's day out. She spent me breakfast, lunch and a complimentary stone massage for my 24th birthday which is only around the corner YAY! Sometimes, I don't remember my own age. I always assume I'm still 21. Well, time flies by fast. I'd be 30 soon HAHA!

So, we left early to beat the crowd. Firstly, we went to The Gardens. Sis had to go and look at some stuff at Marks & Spencer while I had to go to MidValley to get a kid's sleeping bag for either one of the kids for our hotel stay. Whose sleeping bag it's gonna be I wouldn't know but I know they'll be fighting over it.

We arrived at Gardens at about 10.30am. Sis spent breakfast at Coffee Bean.

After doing some window shopping and we got what we wanted, we went to Sri Hartamas where we lunched at "Bonjuk", a tradisional Korean porridge restaurant.Looks scrumptious? They are!

Korean Tea taste like a mixture of tobacco and tea leaves

My Porridge Set - Mushroom and Beef

Sis chose Kimchi Octopus

Food was delicious and not so filling which was good for pre-massage. Before we left to Ikano, a visit to the loo is a must!!! This was the most interesting loo I've ever been since my 23 going to be 24 years of life. Sorry that I have to show you the bowl picture but you have to see it to feel what I felt. HEHE!
Don't worry it's sparkly cleaned!Check out the buttons... so many to press. Ok, there's...
  • front cleaning
  • rear cleaning
  • air dryer
  • nozzle position
  • water pressure
  • water temperature
  • air dryer temperature
  • seat temperature
  • move nozzle
  • STOP

*okay I admit I'm outdated but it's alright as long one admits it.

So we went for our massage. I didn't take any photos. Not because I forgot but 'paiseh'. What if the management don't like; don't wanna get sued. Sis booked for the stone massage at 'BEAUBELLE'. It was great! Starts with soaking of the feet in a bamboo bucket while a designated masseur will do your shoulders and neck and part of the head. After our legs are soft and our head a bit light-headed, we were ushered to the couple room. Stripped off, room temperature and woo-hoo music, our stone massage began. It's very very very good. You all should try it once. So hot but so unstressful. Haha! Can't tell you more except during massage, you can hear the clickaty-clank of the stones hitting each other. I had a migraine beginning of the massage, after some hair-pulling, I felt fantastic!

After the massage, both my sis and I looked worn out; that's what hubby said when he came to meet me. Sis went home while hubby and I went for a time-out dinner at Fireman BBQ Steamboat Restaurant. This was our 2nd visit. First visit, we came with the kids. At the moment they are having a promotional period where RM19.90 per person, you can call as much as you like. It's very affordable and worthy (if you've got stomach size of hubby's!).

The atmosphere was gloomy at first then more and more people came..

Burn baby burn!

Honey Lemon - superb that hubby drank 3 glasses

Lemon Blackcurrant was my 2nd drink; first was also Honey Lemon

Overall, THANKS to my sis for the wonderful day with food and massage & THANKS to hubby for the surprise turn-up after the massage!
-Such a beautiful day with love ones-

Elaine's 29th Birthday

My sister, Elaine's birthday was supposed to be on the 27th of November but we didn't get to celebrate her 29th birthday for her because she was on a business trip to Shanghai. So, we planned a mini surprise for her at home with the whole family right after dinner; or should I say in between?

Everyone was home already. We were only waiting for her to return from work. Thank goodness she had to do some errands which spared us some time.

She was practically doing this when we brought the cake out...

Ooops~ her scream of joy blew out on of the candles.
Joking only! Her first word was "WHAT?".
That's me on the left trying to relight one of the candles!

She was overjoyed > I like this surprise.. so empowering and yet so simple!

Tears of JOY! She was saying, "But my birthday passed dy!" and "But I'm having my dinner!"

She huffed and puffed....

Can you see the after-blow of the candles? I see smoke~ 'Smoking 29th Birthday'

Cut cake time! Mango Mousse Cake.

Elaine opening her gift from MOM. It's a jade necklace shaped of a butterfly!

Ok.. I've got no idea what's Javier doing down there.

All my sister's gifts are BUTTERFLY themed because the world knows she loves them. Well, my grandparents didn't get her a butterfly theme present but they gave her a red packet and who knows she might buy something which relates to it.

*butterfly jade necklace from MOM
*butterfly birthday card from ME, Jake, Ed and Joanne
*butterfly custom-made laptop sleeve from ME, Jake, Ed and Joanne
*butterfly box from kids
*butterfly ladies boxers from kids

Pictures with prezzies!!!
