From Spit to Rain

The kids and I tagged my parents to Amcorp Mall yesterday. We went there to buy some books. Joe followed my Dad while the other 2 younger ones followed ME and my Mom. Javier eyed on Mc'Ds ice-cream so I got that for him then Judith spotted Roti Man. Joe; I heard later, that he cooed his way into asking my Dad for a quick bite of nuggets at Mc'Ds.

So, we went to the bookstore, I grabbed a few titles while the kids each got one. Javier got ROBOTS sticker book, Judith chose fables mini compilation while Joe made up his mind on an activity set of Spiderwicks Chronicles.

After everyone was happy with their purchase which left my purse lighter, I visited the loo. The kids didn't need to release any liquid so, I asked them to wait outside my cubicle. There was a lady out there. While I was in my cubible, I heard her saying hie to them. As usual they replied hie. Then, she did this....

Upon hearing that, Judith muttered, "YUCK" so loudly. I was stealing laughs in my cubicle. That lady must have been so embarassed. She didn't even say, 'excuse me'. I waited until she left and I came out. The kids told me what happened earlier and I could only agree with them. Haha!

So, we came out of Amcorp parking and discovered the threatening sky. It was black and blue with hints of storms. Even the birds are going home for shelter.

Not long after, it started to rain like cats and dogs. The heavy rain caused some congestion along the highway and waters were already rising in some places.

We reached home but thankfully it wasn't raining as heavily as before. I gave the kids each a plastic bag to cover their heads while I umbrella-ed them semi-wetty to the porch.

Dinner with Hub's Relatives

Hubby's relatives came up for a visit. Some came from Singapore and some came from Malacca. All the purpose of visiting PoPo who has been hospitalised for the past few weeks. But, on the optimistic side, she brought all her children together. Erm.. children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grandchild-in law = ME? Haha...

So, about 25 of us gathered at Tai Thong, Cheras Plaza for dinner. Dinner was sans Hubby (Dubai), MIL (Jakarta) and Cc (Hong Kong). Oh my, sans 3 of them also total so much already. Imagine all the YONGs' came!

Grand Auntie Shelly : OKAY hug, kiss, smile for camera!

After dinner, we chit and chatted, we left. Some turned their ways back home and some went off I don't know where. For all I know is that, better get home early to prepare for school day. There's ironing to be done and kids to be tucked into bed.

Words From The Red Chair

YOU went to Dubai last Saturday,
Missing YOU so much from night till day,
Kids ask me where's Daddy? I'd say,
Flew to work coming back on Saturday.

Getting by the mornings were easy,
As chores are done kept me busy
Noons get by fast as you're often at work
Nights are the hardest like some-thing's on the lurk

Hard to communicate hard to reach
Stuck on YOU; keen as a leech
Kids behaved what YOU preached
Once or twice situation breached

Joe would sometimes call YOUr name
Judith would remind him of the same
Javier would say, 'where's my blue game?'
At the end of the day, the wild I will tame

Wondering how YOU're doing there
Is it full of surprises or they just give YOU the stare
How does the food experience fare
I ponder also while I'm sitting on our red chair

Everything is fine so don't worry
I can handle them YOU know they are corny
Notty they are but their antics makes me ooey
Reminds me of YOU never leaving me empty

Take care my dear; I'll see YOU very soon
Drink plenty of liquid; doing YOUrself a boon
Happy to hear from YOU; I'm over the moon
Sweet dreams my dear; just let me croon...

FUKUYA - Authentic Japanese Cuisine

A week ago, we dined at FUKUYA. It is situated along Jalan Delima, just behind the Indonesian Embassy. Right after you turn into the lane, be sure to drive slowly with sharp eyes. Mr Lim spent Hubby for being his colleague buddy and ME for my birthday. Hubby and ME arrived earlier than expected. So, we got to sit down, relax and scan the surroundings.

ME

Ooo.. the splendid serene of the japanese garden

The varieties of SAKE'

The dining area

The entrance

Nope it's not a tea set. Inside the pot is filled with shoyu @ soy sauce whereas the little squarish jar lays my favorite chilly flakes

After Mr Lim arrived, we pursue to our menu selection. So much to see so much to read. In the end, Hubby and Mr Lim went for the set menu. Hub ordered the Unagi Set while Mr Lim ordered the Sashimi Set. I went for ala carte' instead.

Food....
Unagi Chiri Padi Maki (RM25 for 8 / RM12.50 for 4)
This is the tastiest maki I've ever eaten. It's filled with barbecued eel and chiri padi @ 'cili padi'
(a bit on the spicy side but worth the taste)

Hub's cold appetizer

My delicious fish skin salad which is to my liking!
I got to choose which sauce I want from the tasting plate.

Our plate of sashimi (RM120)
(so fresh so yummy.. heavier on the meat; less on the rice)

Hub's personal sushi plate

Shark fin chawanmushi/soup

Honorable Mr Lim

The view of the entrance when the sun goes down.. very ZEN

Private dining glass rooms to ensure no hanky panky.. hehe

So not ready for pictures yet...

YAY 3 makan buddies..
-TQ valet man for snapping this pic for us-

Oh THANK YOU Mr Lim for the delicious, wonderful, tasty dinner. We're sure to go back there for the UNAGI CHIRI PADI MAKI.

Verdict: Place is beautiful, not enough ventilation, lack of staff and it was dripping at a few places which they managed to cover up; but overall staff were friendly and food was awesome.

Hubby Went Super Bald

Hubby went for a hair trim today at the barber. The barber he normally patronize didn't obey his previous request so, he tried the kids' barber instead. He wanted a clean shave this time, the kind of BALD to the extend of a shining head.

As I told Hubby, first cut is always the deepest....

Judith enjoying the trimming process.... while Javier wonders will he be next in line...

Getting there..getting there...

Almost my dear.. no pain no gain...

TADA! Look how happy Hubby is. That little growth on his head really weighed him off!
